The Science Museum Oklahoma installed its initial Mighty Mouth Exhibit in the 1980’s and explored topics such as proper teeth brushing techniques and how braces move teeth. Forty years later, they reached out to Process Curiosity to oversee the design and fabrication of an updated exhibit, while preserving its iconic larger-than-life visuals. The refresh includes introducing modern aesthetics, updated technology, new interactive elements, role-playing opportunities, and expanding into other rooms. 

Guests enter the experience by walking through a large mouth and throat full of lights and gross motor activities before moving to the backroom, which transforms into the Mighty Mouth Academy. The Academy area allows children to take on the role of dental experts-in-training through hands-on STEAM-based role-play. Kids can don lab coats, examine X-rays, fit braces, and diagnose dental dilemmas in a simulated office setting. Through this blend of imagination and profession, children aren’t just learning about teeth but are empowered to protect them.
