The outdoor play and learning space at the Del Valle CDC consisted predominantly of three separate, fenced playground areas. Each playground will be designated to a specific age range (0 to 18 months, 18 months to 3 years, 3 to 5 years). Exhibits are designed to work with the preexisting fence lines around each playground, providing experiences both inside and outside of the zones. Additional exhibits will be installed in the remaining empty outdoor spaces. Two large roofed patios focused on exhibits themes of role play, free build, wind, and simple machines. Exhibits are designed to cater to each age range on the inside of each playground. Exhibit themes are focused on matching the natural aesthetic of the playground equipment to create a more cohesive environmental look and feel.
