The Works Museum in Bloomington, MN, moved into a new space in January 2023. With this new space came an opportunity for Process Curiosity to design the exciting new Educational Gateway Experience. Working closely with the Works team, Process Curiosity redesigned the entire museum experience around the engineering process through open-ended interactive exhibits and flexible program spaces.
The Design Studio is centered around these design and engineering challenges to help the guests make connections and applications to the real world. There is a Derby Track and Launcher which allows the user to design and test a car or plane until they have achieved their goals. The Pinball and Rube Goldberg table invites visitors to experiment with the cause and effect of designed elements in a physical chain of events. At Light Tiles and Brick Pixels, visitors can think about the artistic side of design, using math and geometry to create beautiful works of art.
