About this project
A honeycomb pollinator climber scaled for crawlers and toddlers — hexagon cells to crawl through, netted bridges, a padded climbing ramp, and a wildflower ribbon winding the walls, so the museum's youngest visitors feel like the exhibit was built just for them. Because it was.
Curious by Nature — known during development as Crawlers’ Corner — is part of MOXI’s whole-museum refresh, which follows the museum’s Exhibition Master Plan and will replace roughly 20% of its permanent exhibits over the next few years. We designed and built this corner for the museum’s youngest visitors. This phase of the refresh was completed in June 2025.
