About this project
An airport playscape where the layover becomes the best part of the trip — an air-traffic-control tower climber and a soft-play Kid's Space, created in collaboration with the Scott Family Amazeum.
Wonder Wing is an imaginative playscape at Northwest Arkansas National Airport featuring the Backyard Tower Climber and the Kid's Space. The tower — inspired by air traffic control towers, backyard tree houses, and the Amazeum itself — is a playful platform for interactive exhibits and an iconic structure within the airport: air traffic control interactives up top, aircraft maintenance interactives below.
The Kid's Space gives younger children a safe, contained area of their own — raised pads to walk and crawl over, a stack of soft circles to climb into, a soft-play mirror for discovering reflections, plus interactive plane windows that reveal different pictures and touch-friendly sensory panels.
